We had an engagement shoot which would usually be uncomfortable for us, but Alana made us feel relaxed and helped us to enjoy the experience. The wedding day was exceptional and the way Alana and Ruth worked was 2nd to none. There were hundreds of photos and everyone turned out flawless. She even got a shoot of our posing cats which was eventful! We cannot praise Alana enough and when I've had enough of this wife I'll be sure to use her services again at the next wedding!"

"Alana is a professional photographer who I cannot recommend highly enough. Thorough and detailed, from our initial enquiry to receiving the final images of our wedding, she has made the process of documenting our wedding not only exciting and fun, but easy and stress free.
From the outset, Alana listened to us. Not only our practical requirements for the actual photos, but really listened to us, as two people about to spend the most important day of their lives with her. It's obvious Alana sees this as a privilege. She really took the time to get to know us so she could make sure 'we', our characters, were reflected in her pictures.
Completely prepared, with care and attention to detail, Alana made time to familiarise herself with the various venues for the day paying extra attention to specific requests we had made for 'special shots'. As we had a location wedding, this was particularly impressive as she was 6 months pregnant and it was almost 30 degrees!
Alana is so much fun and immediately puts you at ease in front of the camera. Her unobtrusive method of working means that our guests and we could just get on with enjoying the day. Although we did have some 'posed' shots, this was at a pre-agreed time. Other images were 'natural’ photos... so much so, many people did not even know they were being taken!
Alana is able to capture people just being themselves, They are completely sincere and depict genuine emotions, excitement, nerves, pride, happiness, fun, joy and love to name a few.
It's hard to describe but Alana has an amazing skill of seeing a 'photo opportunity' that I believe only a true artist could find; A perfect reflection in a window, complete stillness in a busy crowd, the contrast of colour in the sky with a single cloud, light dancing to create shadow. Although we were the 'subjects', she used the surroundings available at that time to frame us and create a memory in picture.
Alana offers great value for money. Originally, we did not actually have money in our wedding budget for a photographer. Finding it was the best decision we have ever made. Now that the wedding is all over, I realise that our photos are the only tangible things we actually have from our day. Not only will they last forever but better still, they are perfect."

"We had the pleasure of having Alana as the main photographer at our wedding in August 2017. Alana was great at putting our mind at ease during pre-wedding meetings to make sure she knew what shots we definitely didn't want to miss on the day.
Alana captured some lovely pictures of me getting ready with my mum, and bridesmaids on the morning of the wedding, and was with us throughout the entire day and evening capturing every moment.
Alana thoroughly made the most of the beautiful surroundings of Aldwark Manor which provided some gorgeous back drops, giving the selection of photos we got back variety. We were also happy that Alana suggested we get some non-traditional group shots, which represented our bridal party's fun personalities perfectly. We have printed many of our photos off for frames since receiving our USB, as well as getting a photo book made so we can enjoy them regularly and share with friends and family. The online gallery was also great for sharing with guests and family and friends who weren't able to attend, but could re-live the magical day.
Overall we would highly recommend Alana Photography for her professional and quality service for whatever photography requirements you have.

“We first met Alana when we asked her to shoot our engagement party, she was so amazing we asked her to do our wedding as well. From the minute we met Alana she totally got what we wanted from our wedding photos. We asked for very few posed pictures and for her to capture natural shots of us and our guests. We gave her very little direction but she consulted very thoroughly and boy did she deliver!
Alana had to manage two wedding days and multiple venues. She was amazing!! Flying about all over town to capture all of our special moments. Nothing was too much trouble. Our pictures are perfect, they capture the emotion and feeling of our days so well. Alana caught so many moments that we would have missed.
